Hey Curlies!

SO–I hinted at this in my last post, but I have recently found a new love lol. My new absolute favorite leave-in conditioner is absolutely Shea Moisture’s Coconut & Hibiscus Curl & Shine Conditioner (say that as fast as you can 5 times..go!). This conditioner is amazing, my hair LOVES it, it’s affordable, and I can easily get it on the ground at Target! I’m typically not a huge fan of Shea Moisture products. But this stuff is awesome and it’s worked its way up to my number one leave-in.

It’s light, but very moisturizing. If you’ve read any of posts before, you’ll know that I have high porosity hair, which causes my hair to often be very dry; it can be difficult for my hair to retain moisture. For that reason, I usually have to layer several products onto my hair in order for it to be moisturized. BUT–this conditioner totally changed the game! Lol. I can use it alone and my hair just loves it. I encourage you to try it out if you’re looking for a leave-in!

Hello Curlfriends! 🙂

Time for another review! I recently bought some items from a fairly new company called CC’s Naturals. I saw NurekaD rave about their products on Youtube here, so I was intrigued. I looked them up and the ingredients of ALL of their products look amazing, so I went ahead and got a few…okay, 8…items on Black Friday. Their sale was awesome–40% off of ALREADY very reasonable prices. So anyway..

I want to specifically talk about two products today: the Hibiscus Leave-in and the Lavender Flaxseed Gel. I’ll post the ingredients for both products at the end of this post. I used these products this week for my wash and go. Tuesday I raked the leave-in through my hair in sections followed by the flaxseed gel, which I also applied in sections. To refresh in the mornings, I just used a little of the leave-in to smooth out any frizzies. Now, let me start by saying that I always wear my hair in wash and go’s, but my curls very rarely hold up overnight, so I end up pretty much re-applying my leave-in to my whole head every morning, raking it through in sections to get my curls to pop back. HOWEVER–after using these two products…the next day my curls were still very much in tact! And, I don’t mean they were “kinda” still there. No, my curls were still POPPIN after sleeping on my hair. All I had to do was spritz on a little water, fluff, smooth away my very few frizzies, and GO. Took me less than 5 minutes! I was amazed. I’ve been wanting to try flaxseed gel for a while and I think I’m  LOVE. It’s PERFECT for wash and goes.

CC’s Naturals offers seasonal scents for their products. I got my leave-ins in the Choc-o-latte scent…OMG..smells JUST LIKE hot chocolate!! I was sniffing my hair all it! The flaxseed gel has more of an herbal scent, but I don’t mind it. All in all, I’m very impressed and I’ve definitely found some products to add to my holy grail list. Two thumbs way up for CC’s Naturals! If you’d like to check them out, their website is

Hey everyone 🙂

So, as you recall, I mentioned that I would be getting the Influenster Cosmo VoxBox. I finally got it this week, and I’m so excited about it! Influenster sends the products for review for free and does not offer any further compensation for reviews. In the box were the following products:

1. Two FriXion by Pilot Pens in Red and Black inks. These retail for $4.50 for a 3-pack/$11.00 for an 8-pack. I’m actually a pen FANATIC. I’m also on the search for a great, smooth-writing pen. I was actually really impressed by these pens. Not only do they write very smoothly, but the ink is erasable! Just use the rubber tip to erase your mistakes. It’s pretty amazing, the ink erases almost completely away. I noticed a faint imprint that remained when I used the red ink, but I had to look very closely to see it. All in all, I really love these!

2. Forever Red Eau de Parfume exclusively at Bath & Body Works. This retails for $10 for .25 fluid ounces, and $44.50 for full size. Now, y’all know I love to smell good. This perfume smells AMAZING. It’s kind of fruity, but with vanilla and red osmanthus scents as well. It’s different, I haven’t encountered a scent quite like it. I love it, I’ve already started using it!

3. Ghirardelli Gourmet Milk Sea Salt Escape. This is a chocolate bar that retails for $2.79. Y’all already know I love chocolate!!! This stuff is great. All I can really say is that it combines two of my favorite things–almonds and chocolate. So this is definitely a winner.

4. Gillette Venus Embrace 5-blade razor with Venus & Olay razor refill. I haven’t had a chance to use this yet, but I’m definitely interested in the fact that it has 5 blades. The most blades I’ve used in a razor is 4, so I anticipate this will give me a really close shave that will last longer.

That’s it! I loved this box overall, it combined some things I already really enjoy. Two thumbs up!

Hey guys!

I’ve updated my holy grail (favorite products) list. I’ll link it here and also post below!

Hope your Thanksgiving has been relaxing and full of good food 🙂 Just wanted to stop in and share about a website I recently learned about called Influenster. I heard about them and decided to go ahead and sign up. It’s actually really cool–all you have to do is sign up, link your social media accounts to earn badges, and they send you FREE stuff to review! It’s super easy. I haven’t been chosen for a shipment yet, but you know as SOON as I do, I’ll be posting about what they sent me 🙂 The whole purpose of the program is to spread the word about great products, write reviews, use the review on the site to help guide your own personal purchases, and interact with other users. I’m excited to get started. Stay tuned!

Til next time!

P.S. Go sign up!

So, I had my hair in mini twists for almost two weeks. Well..they were more like *medium* twists. Anyway, I took them out on Friday and wore my hair in a twist out—BEST twist out EVER! My hair usually doesn’t respond to twist-outs well. They’re always a mess. But this time, it was great. I think from now on if I’m going to do a twist out, I have to make the twists much smaller in order for it to work for me.

Because I already had the twists in for almost two weeks, my roots looked a little rough and frizzy but the twist definition was AMAZING. Here are a few pics.

Twist Update! So, these are my twists after about 11 days and…I’m over it. LOL. I love them and they’re great considering I don’t like to do my hair. And, I’ve gotten a lot of compliments on them. BUT…my scalp is starting to itch, they’re getting frizzy, and I want to wear a twist out before my hair becomes unsalvageable. Soo..tomorrow=twist out! Hopefully a BIG, curly, fly twist out. I have not had luck with twist outs in the hair usually doesn’t respond well to them. So I’m going to hope for the best. I’ll be sure to post pics!
